About Chris Link
Chris Link is the co-founder of Plant Addicts and has worked in the gardening industry for more than 10 years.
His own gardening experience started with plenty of trial and error. After struggling to keep many of his first plants alive, especially houseplants, Chris spent years reading, researching, experimenting, and learning what different plants need to thrive.
Today, he enjoys gardening much more successfully and especially likes sharing that experience with his two daughters, who are always willing to help dig in the dirt and pull weeds.
His Approach to Gardening
Chris approaches gardening from the perspective of a home gardener who learned through research, experimentation, and plenty of mistakes. That experience shapes the way he thinks about plant care: practical advice should be clear, realistic, and useful for gardeners who may still be figuring things out themselves.
His interests include shrubs, perennials, container gardening, drought-tolerant plants, and gardening in colder climates such as USDA Zone 5.

Hands-On Gardening Experience
Chris has spent more than a decade working in the gardening industry while also developing his own experience as a home gardener.
Much of that experience has come from researching plant care, testing different approaches, learning from failures, and gradually building a better understanding of how plants respond to light, water, soil, climate, and seasonal conditions.
His personal gardening interests include shrubs, perennials, container plants, drought-tolerant plants, shade plants, herbs, and houseplants.
Areas of Expertise
Chris's Plant Addicts work and gardening experience focus on practical plant selection and care for home landscapes and containers.
Favorite Plants
Hydrangeas are especially meaningful to Chris because they were one of the first plant groups Plant Addicts focused on when the business began.
Sedums are another favorite because they are easy to care for, spread well without being overly aggressive, and provide interest through much of the year, including winter.
Chris also enjoys rosemary, especially for cooking and grilling, as well as coral bells for adding foliage color and texture to shade gardens.
For houseplants, snake plants are a favorite because they are forgiving, easy to grow, and tolerate lower-light areas of the home.
