For one of the most versatile perennials that’ll add a pop of color to any setting, check out the Charlotte’s Web Spiderwort. These hearty plants can thrive in nearly any setting, attract a number of beautiful butterflies and other pollinators, and can serve as an attractive accent to any edge or path.
These plants are generally on the shorter side when it comes to perennials, measuring in at 16”-18” in height. However, these offer a full spread of 24”-28”. The flowers feature a range of brilliant blue colors, and the foliage can vary between shades of green and yellow. Peak blooms can be expected throughout the summer months. While these can be used as fillers and in landscaping, these plants shine when used in borders and mass plantings.
Charlotte’s Web Spiderwort Care
Wanting a native perennial that’s extremely low maintenance? The Charlotte’s Web Spiderwort is easy to care for, as these plants will grow just fine in either sun or shade settings. If planted in an area that’s mostly sunny, make sure to keep these on a regular watering schedule. Consistent moisture is key to preventing the plant from scorching. While robust, these perennials need at least average soil quality to take root and achieve the best results possible. Additionally, make sure the planting area is well-drained.
