The Brindabella Roses® Pink Princess Rose will add a romantic pop of color that will instantly elevate the look of your garden. These bright pink roses give off a hard-to-resist fragrance that will make you want to “stop and smell the roses” whenever you get the chance. With a patient growth cycle, you can expect your shrub to grow about 4 feet in height within 2 years. Because of this, they make an excellent addition to both smaller-sized home gardens and large commercial lawns.
Native to Australia, Brindabella shrubs display a bushy growth pattern with thick foliage and large roses. On average, these shrubs reach a maximum height and width between 36 to 48 inches. You can plant them in containers or mass plant them in gardens and landscapes. To keep these beauties healthy, not much is needed from you. Thanks to their impressive disease resistance, your roses will be tough enough to fight infection on their own.
Brindabella Roses® Pink Princess Rose Plant Care
When planting, it is essential that you avoid burying the crown and ensure the shrub is placed in an area where it can get a lot of sun exposure. You can use a permeable, free-draining mix with bark, coir, and sand. For optimal care, water your shrub at regular intervals during the daytime. Allow it to dry down until it is slightly moist before watering again. The pH level should be kept between 6 and 6.5, and you should utilize a slow-release granular fertilizer to improve its growth.
Pruning is not necessary as Brindabella shrubs can maintain a lovely shape on their own and easily grow new buds and flowers. However, some light pruning will help to keep your shrub looking fresh and healthy.
Brindabella Roses® Pink Princess Rose Plant Spacing
To allow sufficient space for your Brindabella shrubs to grow to their full potential, you should plant them no closer than 3 feet apart. This will ensure each shrub can branch out comfortably without bumping into its pretty neighbor.
