Low Maintenance

This assortment of Monstera is ideal for gardeners who are just starting their collections or have always wanted to grow these highly regarded epiphytic tropicals. The bundle includes the split-leaf Monstera (Monstera deliciosa), Monstera Minima (Rhaphidophora tetrasperma), and the Swiss cheese plant (Monstera adansonii). The classic Monstera Split Leaf is popular and easy to care for. Its large leaves develop splits from the leaf edges to the center veins that are absolutely stunning. The Monstera Minima is a fast-growing vining plant, sought after for its unique fenestrated leaves. The leaves are split like the Monstera deliciosa, but stay quite small. This plant is easy to care for and loves to climb up a moss pole. The uniquely beautiful Monstera Adansonii or Swiss Cheese Monstera is an easy-to-grow houseplant with show-stopper foliage. Each leaf is full of natural oval-shaped holes called fenestration that earn the plant its nickname.

All three plants can thrive under the same conditions and make fantastic additions to the home, where they are not only ornamental but also useful in filtering and purifying the air.

Best Locations For Growing the Monstera Plant Bundle

When small, Monstera plants are lovely decorations for wide shelves, tabletops, or window sills, especially in rooms with abundant natural light and humidity levels, such as bathrooms and kitchens. As the plants grow taller, begin training them on a moss pole or trellis so their aerial roots can cling to the structure instead of trailing on the floor. Monstera plants are considered mildly toxic to pets and children, potentially causing skin irritation and severe stomach upset when ingested.

Monstera Plant Bundle Sunlight Requirements

Monstera thrives in a wide variety of light levels but grows fastest and most robustly in bright indirect light. East or west-facing windows are ideal, while locations just off a south-facing window are also acceptable. Very low lighting will slow the growth of new stems and cause existing ones to become elongated and weak.

Monstera Plant Bundle Care

Plant Monstera in an indoor potting mix combined with orchid bark at a 1:1 ratio. The bark helps the potting mix retain moisture longer while enriching the soil as it decomposes over time. Use a plastic container with ample drainage holes at the bottom to prevent overwatering. Always empty plant saucers or cache pots after watering to prevent roots from sitting in water for extended periods.

Monstera enjoys outdoor vacations once the temperatures reliably exceed 50°F in early summer. Acclimatize the plants slowly to maintain the deep leaf coloration. When outdoors, Monstera requires more shade and protection from the sun during the hottest part of the day.

Watering the Monstera Plant Bundle

Allow the soil to dry partially between waterings. During summer, soak the plant well once a week, and empty any excess runoff from saucers and cache pots. Growth will slow during the winter months, and plants will not need as much moisture in the soil. Start by watering every 10-14 days and adjust the frequency as needed, depending on the humidity levels. Misting the plants with a fine mist spray bottle daily is an excellent way to boost humidity.

Feeding the Monstera Plant Bundle

Use a balanced houseplant fertilizer during the active growth period in spring and summer. Apply a diluted liquid formulation once a month from April to September. Stop fertilizing when the plants are semi-dormant in winter.
